Tamzin Blair the NZ Light
Artist bringing nature inside.

Tamzin Blair is a light artist based in Aotearoa New Zealand, whose practice explores the meeting point of nature, light, and feminine form. Working with resin, organic silhouettes, and illumination, she creates sculptural works that move between intimate, collectible pieces and immersive installation environments.

Alongside her smaller works, Tamzin develops large-scale light installations for festivals, exhibitions, and public spaces. Notable projects include She Henge; a circle of twelve standing light sculptures honouring diverse feminine energies, and Nature’s Dance Floor, an interactive light environment created for the Whakatāne Light Festival.

Guided by a fascination with how light can transform a space, Tamzin’s work creates moments of connection to the quiet beauty within the natural world. Her Wildling lamp series draws inspiration from native plant forms and feminine curves, balancing strength and delicacy through the interplay of light and translucent material. Each lamp is both functional and poetic; a small sculpture that captures the textures and rhythms of the natural world.
